When I tolled story of Yehuda Ha'macabi, as with most children listening to a story, this is a "quiet" time. The children sit and listen with such wonderment as their teachers retell the the story each day, they are just sponging up all the information.

I walk through the classrooms and see the children hard at work, it gives me such joy  to watch them. seeing all these small children working so hard on their chanukah masterpieces just brings a smile to your face, I love watching their determination as they concentrate on their work.

each class presented a special story, song or dace in our very own "teepee". we discussed again the importance of thanking Hashem, our parents and teachers every day for all that we have.

On Wednesday, the children prepared different foods to share for the "Pow wow". As we know , sharing is a big mitzvah , the children made Native American cranberry sauce, pumpkin-bread, home made yams an marshmallows, hot cornbread and yummy salad etc....ll. the children had a true hands on science experience by making their very own butter,
this week's parsha is Parshat Vayigash. I learned from this Parsha that Yosef treated others with kindness. Yosef knew that everything that happened to him Hashem intended it, Yosef did not blame his brothers and he loved them very much , from this our children learn an everlasting lesson that they can practice each and every day.

Wednesday, November 13, 2013

last Sunday I was at big school Emek for a mandatory meeting. In the meeting the fair was set up with 5 booths . the 5 booths include: shehakol ,hagefen, mezonot , Ha'adama and Ha'eitz. Each boy and girl went from booth to booth making brachos on each food and answering Amen to each other's brachos.

mix color

I mixed red and yellow and goat orange. then I mixed blue an yellow and got green and last I mixed red and white and got pink.the children couldn't get over their fascinations and asked to mix the colors again and again
I had a very interesting activity where the children learned how a new color is created.I learned that red, blue and yellow are primary colors and we saw what happens when we mix two primary colors together.
I read the book Kaspion. it's about a silver fish that swims in the blue sea.
I started our 'chanukah unit" and 'thanksgiving day unit".this week.in my ciass we have added the letter"F" to our Alphabet train. In my class I have a pet" f"ish that the children love to f"eed everyday.

parshat vayetze

this weeks parsha is parshat vayetze. my class's children learned about Yaakov and how twelve stones all fought to be kov's pillow. they learned how Hashem made a miracle and all the stones became one. they also learned about Yaakov's dream where he saw a ladder with Malachim going up and down.

brachos

Hahaon Rav chayim Kanievski said that it is imperative to urge parents, teachers, and principals everywhere to encourage children to make their brachos out loud and with proper kavanah. One way to start doing this, he suggested, is to tell them to both pray and recite Birkas Hamazon form a siddur. children should be rewarded for doing this, and should have the meaning of the brachos explained to them, each time focusing on a different brachah
the Gemara (Brachos 53b) tells us, the one who answers Amen has grater mitzvah than the one who made the bracha. When Habaon RAv chayim Kanievski, shlita, was asked several years ago what we should all be doing in light of the tragedies and suffering Klal Yisrael is going through, Hashem yeracheim, he answered that we have to awaken ourselves and others to do teshuvah, to pray with all our hearts, and to do good deeds.

"Aleph". Many children like to eat apples "a"dumim(red).
Hi professor
this week some of our classes in the Emeke school were still working on Parshat Bereshiet. I know it only took Hashem six days to create the world, but it takes us just a little bit longer since we are still trying to perfect things and we work a little slower.

Tuesday, October 8, 2013

All the children were very excited to decorate Morah sarit's (one of the teachers)special sukkah . they put, pomegranate, apples, honey on it.

I prepared for Simchat Torah as well. our future Torah scribes were very busy employing their artistic abilities. They created Torah mantles(covers)the like of which you have never seen. Not even in Israel do they have mantles as beautiful as we do. I hope you take pride in their creations and enjoy dancing with their handmade masterpieces in shul.
